This month’s Redland’s Business of the month is Key to Kids. Founded in 2015, Megan Warren who is a local Primary School Teacher, has grown her micro business from her experiences with children including her own 8 and 9 year old.
Megan left her permanent position at Victoria Point State School in 2014 and began offering services based on the bestselling US book ‘How to talk so kids listen’. She commented “I attended this course when my children where babies and it immediately resonated with my philosophy regarding relationship building and behaviour management of children.”
Over the past three years Megan has increased her range of services to include information sessions for schools, kindies, foster care, libraries and family support services.
This year Megan is excited to be visiting Adele Faber, one of the authors of ‘How to talk so kids listen’, in New York. “It will be such a privilege to ask Adele some of those burning questions I’ve always wondered, as well as put Australia on the map as a progressive culture in parenting and education.”
Megan will be running the full course of ‘How to talk so kids listen’ on April 21st at the Redlands Centre for Women, Cleveland. Tickets are available via her website www.keytokids.com.au .
