The Commonwealth Bank 2010 Redland Retail Awards is being launched this week. This will be the seventh year that these prestigious Awards, will take place and the second consecutive year that the Commonwealth Bank has been the naming rights sponsor.
Debbie Madsen, Chairperson of the Awards, on behalf of the Committee, thanks all of the sponsors of the Awards for their valuable contribution to help support and develop the retail sector in the Redlands, as well as the Redland City Chamber of Commerce who has worked closely with the Committee and has been a consistent supporter of these prestigious Awards.
The aim of the Awards is to showcase and acknowledge Redland City retailers who provide great customer service and excel in their business operations. This, in turn, encourages more people to shop locally, which supports the local economy and minimizes sales leakage outside the Redlands. Retailing is Redland's largest business sector.
There are 21 categories for these retail awards. This year will also be the introduction of the "Retail Gallery of Honour Award", which has been established to acknowledge those businesses and individuals who have won five Redland Retail Awards in a single category.
Customers completing voting forms not only support their favourite retailer, but will go into the draw to win a holiday on North Stradbroke Island. VOTE NOW!
Voting forms are available from participating shopping centres and retailers, Commonwealth Bank Branches in the Redlands, Bayside Bulletin and Redland City Chamber of Commerce.
The Commonwealth Bank 2009 Redland Retail Awards attracted more than 11,000 individual nominations from customers spread across 420 business and 95 retailers were selected as finalists for the 21 business category awards.
Entries close on Monday, 15th March, 2010, with the awards being presented at a gala sit down dinner function on 29th May, 2010 at Sheldon College Performing Arts and Function Centre.

Entries may also be dropped off at any Commonwealth Bank Branch in the Redlands.
